What happens if received products are defective/damaged?

This article outlines the actions taken when a defective or damaged product is received in an inbound shipment at one of OWD's warehouses.

OWD reserves the right to refuse, dispose of and/or return at customer’s cost any product OWD deems unfit, dangerous, requiring unreasonable special attention, or otherwise interfering with OWD’s normal operations.

What happens to the damaged/defective product?

The customer is liable for any additional labor and materials needed to handle defective product or packaging. Disposing of customer’s merchandise will be handled as a Work Order and billed hourly for the time to prepare it for disposal. OWD may require that these fees, along with the disposal fees, be prepaid.

A damage report will be sent to the client by the 10th of each month with the previous month’s damages/defective products. If we do not get a response after 5 days with your requested action, we will dispose of the product. If the Damaged or Defective item includes broken glass or is leaking it will be added to the report and disposed of.
